CLOSING DATES
Summer Semester - 11 December 2009
Semester One - 26 February 2010
Early enrolment is advised as popular classes can fill prior to closing date. Late enrolments are accepted if there is a vacancy, but there is a late fee of $30.
The completed Enrolment Form can be returned by:
- Scanning and emailing as an attachment to iml@uq.edu.au
- Faxing to (07) 3346 8211
- Posting to Institute of Modern Languages, The University of Qld, BRISBANE Q 4072
- Bringing personally to IML Office, Level 1, Joyce Ackroyd Building no. 37, Blair Drive, St Lucia (there are 30 minute loading zones in carpark beside the building)
Conditions of Enrolment
- Classes fill quickly in order of payment receipt.
- Courses will run subject to sufficient enrolments being received.
- Anyone 16 years and over may enrol.
- No qualifications or special knowledge required unless specified.
- Confirmation
- A confirmation letter will be sent to you, in the week before classes start, after classrooms have been finalised. The confirmation package includes: class location, textbook list and parking guide.
- Course Withdrawal
- An administrative fee of $30 per course applies when a student withdraws from a course before it commences.
- Refund Policy

Please choose carefully. After the course has commenced, we do not give refunds if you have a change in circumstances or make a wrong selection (see Fair Trading Act). Refund requests must be made in writing to the Director. There is a $30 refund charge. If IML cancels a course then a full refund or course transfer will be offered. Fees are not transferable to another student or to the next year.
- Transfer Policy
- During the first three weeks of the course a transfer to another class may be arranged with the IML office, if the level chosen is not suitable and there is a vacancy in the class selected.
- Textbooks
- IML does not provide textbooks (except otherwise stated) and is therefore not liable for the availibility of textbooks or any material required or recommended for a course.
